Before the inaugural departure, a ceremonial event was held in the terminal of Samarkand International Airport. A buffet was organized for passengers, and comfortable conditions were provided to prepare for their journey. The Fly Khiva Airways crew was welcomed on the apron by representatives of AIR MARAKANDA.

At 4:35 local time, a Boeing 757-300 aircraft departed for Medina with 224 pilgrims on board.

Regular charter flights on the Samarkand – Medina route will be operated weekly, on Saturdays.
